Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Thursday that China is willing to work with Costa Rica to maintain the momentum of developing bilateral relations.
Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made these remarks during talks with Costa Rican Foreign Minister Arnoldo Andre Tinoco on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
He added that the fruitful cooperation between the two countries should be cherished, fully demonstrating that the development of bilateral ties aligns with the common interests of both sides and the trend of the times.
For his part, Andre affirmed that Costa Rica will continue to firmly adhere to the one-China principle and maintain the political foundation of bilateral relations, adding that his country welcomes further Chinese investment in Costa Rica.
