President Xi Jinping has called for strengthening the unity of the Chinese nation during a grand meeting held Friday in Beijing to honor role models for promoting ethnic unity and progress. He stressed the necessity to promote the high-quality development of the Party's ethnic work in the new era. During the meeting, 352 collectives and 368 individuals were commended for promoting national unity and progress across the country. CGTN's Liu Jiaxin spoke with some role models after the meeting.
