The 2024 China International Confucius Cultural Festival in Qufu City, east China's Shandong Province, began on September 27, celebrating 2,575 years since the birth of the Chinese philosopher.

Arina, a student of Armenian and Russian nationality, shared her thoughts on Confucianism with CGTN. Confucius advocates for self-cultivation, family harmony, good governance and the guarantee of peace. This teaching resonates with Arina, as she believes personal development is the foundation for broader social harmony. She emphasizes that it's not just about individual success, but also about how one can fit in and contribute to the world. There is a saying in Armenia that "every person is the blacksmith of their own house," highlighting that each individual has a role in shaping their home and, by extension, the community around them. Arina notes that this idea is similar to Confucius's belief that a well-regulated family leads to a well-regulated state.
