Director Wong Kar-wai, in his hit TV series "Blossoms Shanghai", used a unique light and shadow aesthetic to depict the city in the early 1990s. Upon its release in 2023, iconic locations such as Huanghe Road and the Peace Hotel immediately experienced a surge of visitors.
