The Village Super League (VSL) International Friendlies, co-hosted by China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Argentine Embassy in China, kicked off in Rongjiang County, southwest China's Guizhou Province, on Saturday.
24 diplomats from 15 countries attended the event and experienced the ethnic customs of Guizhou along with the charm of the VSL. The match featured a Diplomats' Team facing Village Super League club Luohanguo.
The Diplomats' Team, wearing pink jerseys, featured 19 diplomats from 12 North and South American countries including Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico, and Dominica. Despite differences in nationality and language, both teams demonstratd a deep love for football.
The match was played in two 25-minute halves and ended in a 2-2 draw.
