The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Sunday said that it killed senior Hezbollah official Nabil Qaouk in an airstrike the day before.
In a statement, the IDF said Qaouk was the commander of Hezbollah's "preventive security unit" and a senior member of the group's executive council.
There was no immediate response from Hezbollah.
