Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday addressed a reception at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, said that the central task of the country and the Party on the new journey in the new era is to advance the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through Chinese modernization.
