A slice of Xiamen: These grandparents are surprisingly good musicians

CGTN

03:46

The tiny island of Gulangyu in Xiamen was a foreign settlement for around 80 years, from the mid-1800s onwards. These days, it's nicknamed the "Island of Music," and you can often hear the sound of pianos wafting out of windows as you walk through its streets. Many of the island's residents are accomplished players of both Chinese and Western instruments, and might even give professional musicians a run for their money!
