The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Southern Theater Command said on Tuesday that it conducted combat readiness patrols in relevant waters of the South China Sea from Monday to Tuesday.
It said the patrols aim to enhance joint combat capability and resolutely safeguard peace and stability in the South China Sea and are in line with China's annual military training mission arrangements.
