Starting from the evening of September 26, Nepal experienced continuous heavy rainfall in many areas, leading to river breaches and triggering secondary disasters including floods and landslides. According to the Nepalese police, at least 217 people have died, 28 are missing, and 143 others have been injured. CGTN Stringer rushed to the scene to witness the progress of the rescue efforts and hear from the affected residents. Residents said that the continuous heavy rain caused water levels to rise rapidly, sweeping away all their belongings.
