Live updates: Israel vows retaliation after Iran's missile strikes

– Israel will launch a "significant retaliation" to Tuesday's massive missile attack within days that could target oil production facilities inside Iran and other strategic sites, Axios reported, citing Israeli officials. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Wednesday that Iran does not seek war, but will respond if Israel acts against the country.

– The death toll from Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon over the past 24 hours reached 46 while injuries stood at 85, the Lebanese Health Ministry said on Thursday. Eight Israeli soldiers were killed in combat with Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday.

– Israel's foreign minister said on Wednesday that he was barring UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres from entering the country because he had not "unequivocally" condemned Iran's missile attack on Israel.
