The Jewish New Year, or Rosh Hashanah, which began October 2, feels different in Israel this year after October 1's missile strikes from Iran and nearly a year of the country's conflict with Hamas.

CGTN Stringer in Tel Aviv interviewed locals about what they experienced when the missiles hit and how they feel about this year's Rosh Hashanah. They expressed their concern, with driver Yosi Barkan describing feeling fearful and engineer Zeev Goldberg noting that this year's celebration feels vastly different, marked by struggle instead of joy.
