A Dutch military transport plane carrying 185 evacuees from Lebanon landed on the night of October 4 at an airbase in Eindhoven.
More than 100 of those on board the Airbus A330 were Dutch citizens, while the remaining passengers were evacuated at the request of Belgium, Finland and Ireland. On October 3, Lebanon's Hezbollah stated that the group is willing to consider a ceasefire proposal if it includes guarantees for a truce in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli air and ground raids have since resulted in the deaths of 1,974 people, including 127 children, while wounding 9,350 others and forcing more than 1.2 million civilians to flee their homes, according to the Lebanese health minister.
