Five Chinese League of Legends (LoL) teams are vying for the coveted world championship title at Worlds 2024 in Europe. While they have shown promise in the early stages of the tournament, their success hinges on their adaptability to the current meta.

Following two days of intense competition, the Chinese teams, along with squads from South Korea, Europe and North America, have secured at least one victory, ensuring their continued participation.

Blilibili Gaming (BLG), considered a frontrunner by many, dominated the MAD Lions KOI on the first day. However, they suffered a surprising defeat to fellow Chinese team LNG Esports, squandering a significant lead in a pivotal team fight. BLG will now face the reigning champions, T1, in their next match.

T1, though not as dominant as last year, have shown resilience, despite a comeback loss to Top Esports. The South Korean teams have already secured one quarterfinal spot, with Hanwha Life and Gen.G set to clash.

The remaining Chinese teams will face European opponents, while PSG Talon from Chinese Taipei will take on FlyQuest from North America.
