A Chinese mainland spokesperson criticized the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities and certain politicians on Friday for supporting "Hong Kong independence" separatist activities in Taiwan, which damages cross-Straits relations.

Zhu Fenglian, a spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, responded to a relevant query by stating that the attempts by "Taiwan independence" and "Hong Kong independence" factions to split the nation will never succeed.

She warned that the DPP's tolerance of such activities involves not only political manipulation but also poses significant threats to Taiwan's social harmony. According to Zhu, this indulgence will inevitably lead to chaos and force the DPP authorities to face the consequences of their actions.
