Israel has intensified airstrikes on Beirut and its suburbs as it targets Hezbollah leaders and facilities. At the same time, it has launched what it describes as a "limited" ground operation into Lebanon.

Israel's escalations further fuel its ongoing clashes with Hezbollah that started on October 8, 2023, when the group fired rockets at Israel in support of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, triggering Israeli retaliatory fire and airstrikes in southeastern Lebanon.

The Palestinian death toll from the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has risen to 41,788, the Gaza-based health authorities said in a statement on Thursday. Israel has been launching a large-scale offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip to retaliate against a Hamas rampage through the southern Israeli border on October 7, 2023, during which about 1,200 people were killed and about 250 taken hostage.

This weekly roundup of photographs captures news highlights from the Israel-Palestine conflict and the latest situation from the Israel-Hezbollah conflict.
