A year ago, in the aftermath of the outbreak of the latest round in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, CGTN Documentary formed a joint production team that included film crews from Gaza, the West Bank and Israel. Over the following months, together we produced three documentaries telling the stories of the victims of the fighting. Travelling from Gaza City to Jerusalem, from Khan Younis to the Golan Heights, we met a diverse array of people caught up in the conflict: an Israeli military veteran who is a passionate anti-war activist; doctors battling against the odds to save babies born during the fighting; bereaved parents; and released hostages and family members of others still in captivity. In this 366-second short video, in images and words these and many other victims relate stories of life and death, separation and loss. In the 366th second, we express the hope that after a year, an end to the conflict may soon come.
