In this exclusive interview, Namibian President Nangolo Mbumba praises the economic cooperation projects between China and Namibia, including the uranium mine. He emphasizes the significance of such projects in a country that needs employment, technology and development. The projects have created 8,000 well-paid jobs and generated nearly a billion Namibian dollars (about $57.2 million) in tax revenue. "It becomes now an industry known and identified by Namibians and for Namibia as a country," Mbumba says.
