Analyst: U.S. hesitant to pressure Israel in election year

It has been one year since the Israel-Palestine conflict began. Despite ongoing diplomatic and ceasefire efforts, little progress has been made. James Dorsey, adjunct senior fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies at Nanyang Technological University, says despite being an influential regional player and unhappy with Israel's conduct in the war, the U.S. is hesitant to pressure Israel, particularly during its election season.
