Editor's Note: The 9th Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, which took place from Sep. 4 to 6, yielded impressive results, leading to the adoption of the Beijing Declaration on Jointly Building an All-Weather China-Africa Community with a Shared Future for the New Era. How will this translate on the ground for African countries, regardless of their size or level of development? In this edition of Leaders Talk, CMG's Wang Guan sat down in Beijing with Nangolo Mbumba, President of Namibia, to discuss his expectations for China-Africa and China-Namibia cooperation. Mbumba acknowledges China's central role on the global stage, saying that "you can't talk about development without thinking or talking about China." He says that Namibia aims to nurture national champions in the industrial and mining sectors, contribute to global green energy production, and sell its agricultural and meat products to China.
