On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, known as Hamas, launched numerous rockets into Israeli territory in a military operation called the "Al-Aqsa Flood." In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promptly declared that Israel was in a state of war.
