October 7 marks "Hanlu," also known as "Cold Dew," the 17th of the 24 solar terms on the Chinese lunar calendar. During this period, cold air moves south, causing autumn dryness and a growing temperature gap between day and night. Wildlife adapts to the coldness as it approaches. People watch maple leaves, eat crabs and drink tea as part of traditional customs. Watch the video to see the different ways the Chinese characters "寒露" (Hanlu) are written.
