Museums and cultural relic sites across China recorded over 60 million visits during the week-long National Day holiday, according to the National Cultural Heritage Administration.
Over 90 percent of the museums temporarily lifted reservation requirements to better accommodate the visitors. The holiday, also known as the "golden week," is one of the peak travel seasons on China's domestic tourism calendar.
