The two sides of the main Magufuli Bridge across Lake Victoria in Tanzania's Mwanza region were connected on October 6. As a flagship project of China-Africa cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, the Chinese-built bridge will cut cross-lake travel time from the current two hours to four minutes. The main bridge has a total length of 520 meters.
