A launch event for deepening cooperation between China Media Group (CMG) and Dongfeng Motor Corporation was held in Beijing on Thursday.

Hu Jinjun, vice president of CMG, and Yang Qing, chairman of Dongfeng Motor Group, attended the event and delivered speeches.

In his remarks, Hu emphasized that CMG has consistently adhered to a strategy of technological advancement, particularly through its "5G+4K/8K+AI" strategic framework, and has been actively promoting the integration of "ideas + art + technology." This approach has paved the way for high-quality, technology-driven development unique to CMG, he added.

Hu highlighted that one of CMG's flagship technological achievements, its ultra-high-definition (UHD) live broadcast vehicles, has achieved localization in several key technology areas, breaking the long-standing reliance on imported equipment.

Yang, in his speech, stated that CMG serves as a key platform for showcasing, communicating, and shaping Chinese brands. He acknowledged CMG's pivotal role in supporting the growth of China's automotive industry by providing platforms, promoting policies and amplifying voices, creating a favorable public opinion environment for the industry's growth.

During the event, Dongfeng Motor Corporation officially handed over a diesel-powered tractor head to CMG. The tractor head is compatible with various broadcast vehicle bodies currently in use by CMG and will play a crucial role in the localization of tractor heads for CMG's UHD broadcast vehicles.

CMG and Dongfeng Motor Group also announced plans to sign a memorandum of understanding to further deepen their collaboration. They will jointly explore opportunities in media convergence and production-academia-research cooperation, as well as develop a high-end intelligent brand communication partnership in the new energy vehicle sector, setting a new benchmark for cooperation between state-owned media and enterprises.
