The Eastern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) organized troops from the army, navy, air force and rocket force on Monday to conduct Joint Sword-2024B drills in the Taiwan Straits and to the north, south and east of the island of Taiwan.

Li Xi, a spokesperson for the theater command, stated that the drills involve vessels and planes approaching the island from multiple directions and conducting joint force assaults.
