A range of traditional clothes made by designers from the Yi ethnic group in Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, was unveiled in a fashion show at Beijing's Bell and Drum Towers on Sunday. The clothing line, which combines Yi embroidery and fashion inspired by green peacocks, proved a hit when it was shown at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year. Boasting a history of over 1,700 years, the Chuxiong Yi ethnic group's techniques for making traditional clothing was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2014.
