China has recently evacuated Chinese nationals out of Lebanon, including a Taiwan compatriot. A spokesperson from the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council said the motherland will always be the strong backing of Taiwan compatriots. "No matter where you are and what difficulties you encounter, the great motherland will always be the strong backing of our compatriots in Taiwan," Chen Binhua told media.
