During the Global South Think Tanks Forum, Geeganage Weerasinghe, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka, emphasized the importance of South-South cooperation, lauding China's leadership in global development. He noted, "Issues relating to peace, development and security, we've seen China leading, and therefore we would expect China to share these models with the rest of the countries in the Global South."
