Global South should gain greater influence in the international community

01:53

Moktar Adamou, dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Parakou in Benin, believes that the Global South is not a geographical division but a typical postcolonial economic structure, largely dependent on the export of commodities and low-value-added goods. To enhance its influence, he advocates for increasing Africa's representation in the UN Security Council and establishing a new financial order to support the Global South's development. He highlights China's active role in this strategy.
