Peace is the foundation upon which sustainable development is built and that security is essential to ensure a prosperous future for our present and future generations, said José Alexis Ordóñez, executive director of the National Education Council of Honduras, in his address at the Global South Think Tanks Forum held in Beijing on Wednesday.

"However, we know that no nation can achieve these goals alone," he said, adding that global interdependence urges people to work together, to share experiences, resources and knowledge.
