The ongoing military operation by Israel in the Gaza Strip has resulted in the deaths of over 40,000 Palestinians and the displacement of more than 2 million people. Due to severe shortages of food and medical resources, the situation in northern Gaza is rapidly deteriorating. Since the beginning of October, no food relief has been delivered to the area, forcing residents to survive only on canned food. In a market in northern Gaza, CGTN Stringer interviewed four residents who are struggling with the lack of supplies and soaring prices. One of them said, "We are now experiencing famine and can only live on canned food, even though it is expensive. There is no hope in northern Gaza now; the crossings are not open, and people are starving."
