A heartwarming moment was witnessed in Baoshan, southwest China's Yunnan Province, as a pair of tufted deer were seen playfully interacting in the Gaoligong Mountains. Named for the distinctive tuft of hair on their forehead, these gentle deer thrive at altitudes of 1,000 to 4,000 meters. Recent sightings of tufted deer in the Gaoligong Mountains show significant progress in biodiversity conservation in the area.
