ECB cuts interest rates by 25 basis points

The European Central Bank (ECB) on Thursday announced that it would cut three key interest rates by 25 basis points.
The interest rates on the deposit facility, the main refinancing operations and the marginal lending facility will be decreased to 3.25 percent, 3.40 percent and 3.65 percent, respectively, with effect from October 23, the central bank said in a statement.
