Alongkorn Ponlaboot, former deputy minister of commerce of Thailand, highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between the countries of the Global South during his speech at the Global South Think Tanks Forum. Stating that peace is the foundation of development and that development is the guarantee for peace, he emphasized the need for dialogue, mutual understanding and trust. Ponlaboot highlighted the successful collaboration between China and Thailand in fields like agriculture, trade, import-export and technology, calling it a model for effective cooperation.
