Anna Malindog-Uy, vice president of the Asian Century Philippines Strategic Studies Institute, said the Global South is playing an important role in global governance and dynamics, particularly in economics and development, at the Global South Think Tanks Forum in Beijing. She noted, "We are now seeing the emergence of what you call a multipolar world. It is not a world dominated by the West," adding, "I think this is a very good development."
