Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that Russia is in contact with both Israel and Palestine as conflict continues in the region.
Putin made the remarks at a meeting with the heads of the leading media outlets from BRICS countries on Friday.
Reaffirming Russia's support for a two-state solution in the conflict between Israel and Palestine, Putin said the issue would be discussed at the 16th BRICS Summit slated for October 22 to 24 in Russia's Kazan.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has been invited to take part in next week's summit, Putin added.
