At least four Palestinians were killed and about 70 others injured after an Israeli air strike on October 14 hit the tents of displaced persons near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza's Deir al-Balah, the Palestinian official news agency WAFA reported, citing medical sources.
The head of the emergency department at the hospital told CGTN Stringer that most of the injured patients were burned. Though many of them were dangerously injured and needed more care, there is a shortage of most disposable material and equipment. He hopes that the Rafah border crossing will open and international organizations can provide some medical aid. Amani Madi, the mother of a child injured because of the air strike, said everything in her home was burned and a missile fragment penetrated her child's body.
