Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday sent a congratulatory letter to the 2024 International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) World Congress.
Xi stressed that China has always attached great importance to intellectual property (IP) protection and actively promoted the construction of a powerful intellectual property country, achieving historic accomplishments in the field of IP rights and forging a path for IP development with Chinese characteristics.
China is willing to work with all parties to continue strengthening cooperation, firmly uphold the multilateral international IP system, contribute Chinese wisdom and solutions to create an international environment that is conducive to innovation, advance the global IP governance system towards a fairer and more reasonable direction, and contribute Chinese wisdom to the well-being of humanity, he said.
With the theme of protection and innovative development of intellectual property rights, the 2024 AIPPI World Congress began in Hangzhou City, east China's Zhejiang Province, on Thursday. It is being hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the AIPPI.
