Russia will host the 16th BRICS summit from October 22 to 24 in Kazan. In an interview with CGTN, Stephan Ossenkopp, senior researcher at Schiller Institute in Germany, noted that BRICS countries need to create their own platforms in finance and trade to become a driving force for peace, dialogue and cooperation among civilizations. He stated that BRICS has been fulfilling the promises of the Charter of the United Nations, and China has been adhering to the five principles of peaceful coexistence.
