The second most populous city in Peru, Arequipa is an important industrial and commercial hub for the country. Its historic center covers a large area and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with many cultural sites and monuments that help to boost international tourism. Many interesting events are held there, such as the Alpaca Fiesta, a festival that aims to promote alpaca wool in the global textile market.

Similar types of agricultural festivals also take place in China. A sheep-shearing competition took center stage during an animal husbandry event held in Lankao County, Henan Province. The skills of the contestants to make a lamb "change clothes in one second" impressed many visitors.
