A car exploded on Monday in Damascus's Mazzeh neighborhood, which is home to embassies and security headquarters, state media reported, adding the cause of the incident remains unclear.
It's reported earlier that blasts were heard in the vicinity, with an AFP report saying a hotel was damaged and vehicles torched near Syria's Information Ministry.
