Yangshan Town in Wuxi City has reinvented itself through the integration of agriculture and tourism, using its famous honey peaches as the foundation for rural revitalization. Once hollowed-out, the town in east China's Jiangsu Province now attracts city dwellers seeking a peaceful escape, with its peach orchards, vibrant cultural activities and rural homestays. The collective income of Taoyuan Village has surged from 500,000 yuan (around $70,000) to 4.89 million yuan, and Yangshan's peach industry chain reached 1.5 billion yuan in 2020, making it a national model for rural economic growth.
