China's Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao has met with Apple's CEO Tim Cook in Beijing. It's their second face to face meeting this year and comes after the release of the tech giant's latest iPhone. The two exchanged views on a variety of topics, including China-US trade relations and Apple's development in the Chinese market. Minister Wang stated that China will continue to enhance its business environment and support foreign enterprises. He emphasized that mutually beneficial trade relations between China and the US, strengthen overall bilateral ties. He cautioned against overextending national security measures that could disrupt trade. Apple's CEO affirmed China's importance as a key market and supply chain partner, pledging continued investment in supply chains and R&D for Apple's long-term growth in the country.
