We Talk: South Africans look forward to more BRICS cooperation

From October 22 to 24, the 16th BRICS Summit was held in Kazan, Russia. CGTN Stringer talked with some South Africans about the impact of joining the BRICS family. Nokukhanya Khanyi Zulu believes that the BRICS cooperation mechanism has strongly promoted the development of its member countries.

She said, "South Africa has had many benefits from the BRICS" mechanism, noting that "more South African products have been exported to other countries, namely South African wine, which is growing in popularity, and rooibos tea."

Locals are also looking forward to more BRICS cooperation in culture, education, trade, technology, tourism and other fields. Clea Schultz Mofokeng said Confucius Institutes provide good opportunities for South Africans to learn Chinese and study in China.
