The symphonic concert titled "Hearing Contemporary China" features new works by composers from the Chinese Central Conservatory of Music. Recently performed in Austria for an audience of 1,000 at the Vienna Concert Hall, the concert premiered six recent compositions by faculty members. These composers conveyed the imagery of classical Chinese poetry, the emotional depth of Chinese culture, and reflections on the natural world through their contemporary music. The aim is to present works that represent contemporary Chinese culture on the global stage.
