In 2020, American martial arts enthusiast Jake Pinnick embarked on a solo trek to Wudang Mountain in Central China's Hubei Province. Over the course of the next 14 years an amazing transformation took place: the martial arts novice from the US metamorphosed into a fully-fledged 16th-generation inheritor of the Wudang Sanfeng Sect! In order to achieve this feat, he had to do more than simply master martial arts: his task was to do nothing less than discover the very essence of Wudang and imbibe the wisdom of Daoist culture. Finding inner peace and self-acceptance in Wudang, he eventually decided to settle at the foot of Wudang Mountain and start a family, all the while sharing Wudang martial arts and Daoist culture with the wider world.
