China strongly disapproves of a U.S. measure that restricts investment into China, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Tuesday. The U.S. Treasury Department has finalized restrictions on investment by U.S. individuals and companies into advanced technology in China, including the semiconductor and AI sectors. "China strongly disapproves of and firmly opposes to the U.S. investment restrictions on China. China has lodged representations with the U.S. side and will take all necessary measures to firmly defend its legitimate rights and interests," said the spokesperson.
