"My First Step on China," by 10-year-old Kimberly Lei from the United States, wins the Second Prize in the "China Through My Eyes" Global Children's Art Project. /Provided to CGTN by artist and guardian
China's past and present come together through the eyes of this young artist. Using watercolors and colored pencils, the artwork blends ancient and modern elements – from oracle bones, bronzeware and porcelain to high-speed trains and online payments. Traditional landmarks like the Temple of Heaven stand alongside the iconic skyscrapers of cities such as Shanghai and Guangzhou. The composition is both creative and thoughtful, with a fresh and vibrant use of color that reflects the dynamic spirit of China’s evolving story.
Congratulations to Kimberly Lei for winning the Second Prize in the "China Through My Eyes" Global Children’s Art Project!
