Painted in bold acrylics on canvas, a dragon kite soars above Shanghai's skyline, gracefully hovering over the city's iconic landmark, the Oriental Pearl Tower.
For 14-year-old Titan Nayaka Sradha from Indonesia, the dragon symbolizes strength and heritage, while the dragon-shaped kite represents cultural legacy and the aspiration to reach new horizons – "much like China's innovative advancements." The rising wind embodies the country's growth and forward momentum.
"I tried to connect the traditional symbol of the dragon with the modern aspirations of China's vision for the future," said the young artist.
Congratulations to Titan Nayaka Sradha for winning the Third Prize in the "China Through My Eyes" Global Children's Art Project!
